Inspired by the first known text discovered in Orkney, this ring reads `A blessing on the soul`. The writing was found on a whorl stone at Buckquoy, Birsay, approximately 500 AD. The name Ogham itself was derived from the Celtic god of literature and eloquence, Ogma.
